Today, during Holy Mass, after receiving Jesus in Holy Communion, I knelt down and began to pray.
As I remained quietly in His presence, I felt deeply inspired. It was as though I was standing beneath a shower of heavenly graces, with God's love pouring down upon me and filling my heart.
Jesus says:
«“Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them.”
— John 6:56»
I felt as though the grace of God was not merely around me, but showering into me, filling me and drawing me closer to Jesus.
Then, in my imagination, I felt lifted gently by the wings of the Holy Spirit. I floated above everything that weighed me down—my worries, fears, failures and burdens.
I was carried gently into a place of peace, where I felt as though I could taste the sweetness and richness of God's love.
The Psalm says:
«“They feast on the abundance of your house; you give them drink from your river of delights.”
— Psalm 36:8»
It felt like tasting the cream of God's love—a love so gentle, pure and comforting that nothing in this world could compare with it.
The more I surrendered myself to Jesus, the lighter I became.
Then I began to float like a feather—slowly, peacefully and without fear.
I did not have to struggle to reach Him.
I simply allowed myself to be carried.
And slowly, I drifted towards Jesus.
He was waiting for me.
I came to rest in His lap, and gently placed my head against His heart.
There, I wanted nothing else.
No achievement.
No recognition.
No worldly comfort.
Only Jesus.
Only His Heart.
Only His love.
Jesus says:
«“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
— Matthew 11:28»
As I rested against His heart, I felt that this was where I truly belonged.
The world often tells us to keep running, achieving, proving ourselves and carrying everything on our own.
But Jesus invites us to rest in Him.
«“Remain in me, as I also remain in you.”
— John 15:4»
Perhaps the greatest grace is not that Jesus removes every burden immediately, but that He allows us to rest in His Heart while He carries us through them.
His love is the place where my soul can breathe.
His Heart is the place where my restless heart becomes peaceful.
His presence is the place where I no longer need to pretend to be strong.
I can simply become like a little child and say:
“Jesus, I am Yours.
Carry me.
Fill me with Your love.
Let me rest in Your Heart.”
And as I rested there, I understood something deeply:
I don't always have to fly towards Jesus by my own strength. Sometimes I only need to surrender—and allow the Holy Spirit to carry me.
«“God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.”
— Romans 5:5»
Today, I pray that I may never become so busy looking for God's blessings that I forget the greatest blessing of all:
Jesus Himself.
Let me receive Him.
Let me remain in Him.
Let me rest in Him.
Let me allow His love to fill me.
And when I am tired, let me simply place my head upon His Heart and whisper:
“Jesus, I trust You.
I am safe in Your love.
Carry me.”
Amen.
